At the Pushkin Museum in Moscow will host the exhibition of Raphael

The state Pushkin Museum and the Uffizi gallery agreed to hold in Russia the exhibition of the Italian artist Raphael.

 

The scientific exposition was named “Rafael. The poetry of the image. From museums of Italy”. It will include ten works of the painter, including those that have not previously been exhibited outside of Italy, as well as recognized masterpieces of the master.

 

The presentation of the future of the exhibition on Tuesday, July 12, held at the Embassy of Italy in Russia. At the event, representatives of the Pushkin Museum and the Uffizi gallery signed a cooperation agreement.

 

The Ambassador of Italy in Russia Cesare Maria Ragaglini said that the Russian public in recent years demonstrates the extraordinary interest in the work of the Italian masters of the Renaissance. He stated that the exhibition of Raphael, whom many consider the greatest painter in history, remembered by the visitors for a long time.

 

The head of the Pushkin Museum Maria Loshak, the Director of the Uffizi, Eike Schmidt expressed confidence that the joint exhibition is the first step in scientific and educational cooperation between the two cultural institutions.

 

The exhibition of Raphael opens at the Pushkin Museum Pushkin on September 13 and will run until December 11.
